Ok. Im not usually very good with the whole notion of self promotion. I find it a little confronting and awkward - and if you come and visit this tiny blog on a regular basis you would know that I try to let my art, and my thoughts and feelings on all manner of stuff take centre stage. Not my face or my personal life...
This year will be a little different.
Im changing things up and for starters I have two big announcements to make.
{I may do them quickly as Im already starting to feel like I need to make a quick retreat to the studio!!}
The first announcement is that I will be teaching my first adult workshop this month {25th} and I would love to see everyone come and join in...
If you live in Sydney and would like to feel inspired and creative this year, you may like to come to this class which is called Art in Nature. We will spend the morning responding to the landscape around us - which could mean sketching, collecting, photographing or writing - and then use this material to inspire an art piece that you will create in the afternoon studio session. Something like a painting, a series of drawings or even a sculpture!
All are welcome and even if you are a little nervous at the thought of making, I hope this workshop will help you just have fun and let go!!
The other little announcement is that I will be having a solo exhibition later in the year which Im really excited about! It will be two years since my last big show at Primrose Gallery and it feels time to give myself, and my artwork, a little giddyup!
So yes!
