Howdy everyone... hope your Monday is flowing nicely and that the Sun is shining in your neighbourhood?! After 2 days of torrential rain here in Sydney the Sun has finally decided to show its lovely warm face, to the relief of many...including me!
Ive just arrived home after a catching up with an old art school buddy at one of our favourite haunts - The Art Gallery of NSW and when we started to talk it was as if no time had passed. We had a great time.... and I realised that its quality not quantity when it comes to friends!
And I guess the same can be said when being creative. When you have a lot of time and energy to devote to a project, good things come. But when you rush - the experience, and the end result can be a little... ho hum.
Case in point - these two new woven bowls that I have been working on recently. I started to weave with new materials, and when I took my time the final piece worked. But when I rushed...I had a big miss. In these two shots the big miss was the blue woven bowl that you can see in the shots above and below.
But the pink bowl worked out ok... and is now sitting on my desk.
Hits and misses... ahhh...it truly is all fun... IF you have the time and patience!
