Oh happy Spring season everyone! And hasn't it started with the most beautiful sunny weather possible....! I'm a very happy camper and just feel like being a bum and just directing all my energy in doing everything outside!
But with Spring comes the fete and festival season and as such I have a few events to share with you that are about to begin....
The College of Fine Arts Spring Fair is on again this year and the Art + Design Markets look to be as good as the Young Blood markets at the Powerhouse... All pieces are to be hand made by current or past students of COFA so it should make for an interesting multi media display... It is on Saturday Sept 19 but check out the website for more details...
From art+design to craft... Marrickville Council who is a fantastic supporter of its local community of artists is presenting the new event Cut and Paste festival from 11-13th Sept... This three day festival will include craft workshops for all ages, a talk on refugee women's textiles, eco friendly demonstrations in sustainable cooking and gardening and on the final evening of the event there will be an organic food dinner with performances+ 'craftmation' films....
Should be a fantastic weekend!
