golden smith....

Some jewellery is considered more than a wearable object...
It is a work of art..
A poetic piece....
A tactile form of emotion...
David Neale aka The Golden Smith
is one such artist that creates not just jewellery but a poetic form of communication...
He is from Melbourne and has exhibited all over the country in such galleries as Funaki in Melbourne + Object gallery in Sydney...

On Thursday night he will be in Sydney to open his latest solo show called Some + None : Jewellery as Graphics, at Metalab gallery in Surry Hills. It should be a brilliant show of wearable and non wearable jewellery and sculptural pieces, and I for one will definitely be checking out the show!

In the meantime it is worth having a gander at David's beautiful blog called The Golden Smith which gives a little insight into David's aesthetic and the many things that interest and inspire him. He is also a beautiful story teller.... especially when he talks about his personal life.
The tiny tale about how he met his wife is so lovely....
It really carries a lot of emotion and hosesty that can be quite rare...
