inner city life

A stroll through Fraser studios, Broadway.

I love a good inner city warehouse.
Random lines of graffiti...
Beautiful old wooden floors
and lovely layers of peeling paint.

These images were taken last week at the old Fraser studios in Broadway.
In a sea of concrete and construction, they reminded me of an ol' Sydney town that was full of run down warehouses - perfect for inner city artists to squat in.

Do you think any of them will be left in a few years time?
A couple of months ago the iconic Tacheles Art Squat was closed down after twenty years of existence in Berlin, with plans to turn the massive site into apartments. Is that gentrification? Progress?

mmmmm.....
Its all about a glimpse of history... through the amazing marks on the old warehouse floors.
